Breakdown recovery from minibusure

A comprehensive insurance package would not be complete without a reliable breakdown recovery service. minibusure are now able to offer this as an optional benefit through a company called 'Proximo', who have a direct facility with 'the AA'.

Who are Proximo?

Proximo are a legal expenses provider and supplier of accident management solutions who have been involved in the insurance industry since 1995.

Who are the AA?

The AA is the UK's largest breakdown recovery service with almost twice as many patrol vehicles as anyone else.

What is covered?

Breakdown Recovery has one level of cover which includes:-

Home Start

Assistance when the covered vehicle is immobilised following a breakdown or an accident at or within a quarter of a mile of the drivers home address.

Relay

Assistance when the covered vehicle is stranded on the highway more than a quarter of a mile from the drivers home address following a breakdown of the covered vehicle and the AA cannot arrange a local repair within a reasonable time. Recovery will cover the number of passengers up to the number of fixed seats in the vehicle concerned.

Onward Travel

Provision of a replacement vehicle (with driver) in order that the covered vehicles intended journey may be completed. Where possible, such replacement vehicle shall be suitable for carrying the number of passengers travelling in the covered vehicle upto the number of fixed seats in the vehicle concerned.

Breakdown Recovery is available for vehicles with a maximum of 17 fixed seats (including driver) with a gross vehicle weight of 3500kg (3.5 tonnes).

Use is restricted to the UK only. Cover can be considered for the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man on referral.
